Sarah Hippenstiel and Favory VII Andorella win!

Sarah and Andorella won the Region 2 4th level championships at Paxton Farms with a 67.826%.

2006 Region 2 Championships

Elizabeth Cope and Motion STV win the 2006 Region 2 AA Prix St. Georg Championships with 67.825%!

Silver Medal

This year at the 2006 NAYRC Region 2 took the silver medal, coming in as a close second to Canada, who won the gold medal. Ali Nicholas and Katie Hamilton (right) are both students of Jochen and helped Region 2 win the Silver medal this year. Ali and Lexington were tied with Kassie Barteau and Bentley (also Region 2) for 6th place the in the individual final with a 67%.

North American Young Riders

Jochen has 2 riders qualified for the Region 2 North American Young Riders team, Katie Hamilton with Noviembre and Ali Nicholos with Lexington.

Sarah at Silverwood

Sarah Hippenstiel and the Lipizzan stallion Favory VII Andorella showed 4-3 for the first time at Dressage at Silverwood, winning both classes with a 64% and 63%.

Linda at Silverwood

Linda Leffingwell and Weltstrum were 2nd place twice, with scores of 63 and 67%, at Dressage at Silverwood August 12-13. Pretty good for the first time showing her new horse Prix St George.

New Gelding

Linda Leffingwell will be competing her new Westphalian gelding Weltstrum (Weltmeyer/SauPaulo) Prix St. Georg at the end of July and beginning of August. Lind purchased Weltstrum in late December 2005 over Werner Link in 2005.

Rocky at Grand Prix

Jennifer Lueders competed her horse Rocky Balboa for the first time at Grand Prix this year with scores in the mid-60's. Last year Jennifer and Rocky were reserve champions in Intermediare II at the Region 2 championships.

Dream Competition

Sarah Hippenstiel competed her 5-year-old Dream of Glory mare for the first time at training level and received a 75%.

Tempel Lipizzan

The 2006 Tempel Lipizzan performance season is underway. The performances end August 30th.

2005 NAYRC

In 2005, Katie and Ali both represented Region 2 at the NAYRC and helped the team to win the gold medal. Katie with her horse Noviembre placed 4th individually. Katie also represented the United States at the 2005 FEI World Cup for Young Riders in Frankfurt, Germany.
