Dressage is both sport and art. To develop horse and rider into artistic athletes takes many years of patient, dedicated, and consistent training. I am interested in taking on rider's that are interested in learning the correct dressage basics that will develop them into good and effective dressage riders. In my lessons my main agenda is to get the horse and rider as cohesive as possible. Teaching the rider the "feeling", so that they are able to do it on their own is very important to me.

My goal is to bring that German training system to America to help better the sport of dressage for both professionals' and amateurs. I am interested in taking students from beginner level to Grand Prix who are willing to take the time and have the patience to learn correctly.

Training with Sarah Hippenstiel
Sarah is a successful FEI dressage teacher, trainer and competitor, working and training in partnership with her husband Jochen Hippenstiel. Sarah has had much success over the past years in the competitive dressage arena, having won championships from 2nd level up to the FEI levels, placing in CDIs, and winning numerous year-end awards. Sarah is training and riding horses at all stages of their development, starting with the young horse through Grand Prix. This year she earned her USDF Gold Medal.
Sarah's philosophies rely on the classical approach to the fundamental principles of riding and horsemanship. She stresses the importance of striving to allow the horse to use his muscles correctly through suppleness, impulsion, and elasticity, thereby minimizing the risk of injury or soreness.
Previously employed with Tempel Farms as an assistant trainer, Sarah has had great success with the stallion, Favory VII Andorella, from 4th Level through Intermediare I at various Regional Championships throughout the years. In addition, Sarah has shown client's horses at all levels, including Grand Prix.
Sarah and her husband Jochen have found a new home for their business, Dressage International, Inc., at Double Lucky Ranch. In her new venture, Sarah will continue to compete and train horses up through the FEI levels. With a client base of all ages and all levels of training, she continues to pass on her extensive knowledge through coaching and lessons.
